Nature, In Person
Nature connection is a gift. With health and safety practices in place, let's get outside and foster a deep appreciation for the natural world.
Let's build community through nature connection.
Ferns & Fronds Nature Play
For children 15 month-5 years and a favorite adult.
This caregiver and child program offers rich outdoor experiences to build community and support family nature play.
For children 6 months-2.9 years and a favorite adult.
Little Ferns classes take place indoors and out, with community partners laying the foundation for nature connection.
Family Nature Club & Pop Ups
Get outside with your community! Among the Ferns will host seasonal opportunities to connect with the great outdoors and our community. Some of these gatherings will take place thanks to some great community partners!
For preK-2nd grade naturalists (older siblings possible, just ask!)
Join me for outdoor exploration-based classes to supplement your child's virtual/homeschool day or build nature connection into your family's culture!
Private Nature Mentorship
I love working 1:1 (or with whole families!) to provide nature mentorship. If your budding naturalist or you are interested in working closely to intentionally build nature connection, please reach out.
Opportunities vary and are dependent on your needs. We'll set up at time to chat and go from there.
Workshops and Speaking Engagements
I have a strong background in public speaking and engaging adults in learning.
While I have some pre-designed workshops, such as "Meaningful Nature-Based Education", I am happy to work with you to design a workshop to fit your needs!
I balance administration, community, time learning and playing outside, and other employment. I am also a Mama to a young child, whose needs and attachment are still deeply connected to me. My daughter accompanies me to (and sometimes participates in) my work and I do my best to balance meeting everyone's needs. Thank you for joining me in working towards a culture that supports and uplifts working mothers and the re-prioritization of a balanced life.
Based in Shohola, PA
I acknowledge that I live, work, and play on stolen land. The original peoples of what's now called Pennsylvania, as well as the rest of this continent, were wrongfully & forcibly removed from their lands. I understand that Native Americans are still here; my Host Nation peoples, the Munsee Lenape, are still here. I offer deep condolences to the past, present, and future Indigenous peoples who experienced harm at the hands of my ancestors and other colonizers and for the systemic racism they still experience today. I promise to do my best as an ally and support my Host Nation and all Indigenous peoples with my actions. I recognize this statement is just the first step and commit myself to continue to grow and work towards reparations and healing.
